What’s been happening:

NROTC Regular Scholarship Program. On the USS Missouri final midshipman cruise, 1954. Chief Engineer, USS Borie (DD704)l 1955-59 with operations in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Red Sea and Persian Gulf. The Borle and sister ship, USS Lind were the last ships to pass through the Suez Canal before it was blocked during the Unit Arab Confrontation in 1956. Owner, Carothers Architects, Inc., Lock Haven, PA 1962-75. Rotarian/past president, Lockhaven Rotary Club; Arbitrator, American Arbitration Association. Executive architect/Program Exec., US Government, Washington, DC, 1975-92. Member of the Jecor Organization, US Representation, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 1981-85; Senior Architectural Advisor, Votrakon Project (Vocational Training Centers); The Senior Engineering Advisor, Heacom Project (Hospitals and Health Centers). During this period my wife, Ann, taught sixth grade at the Saudi Arabian International School in Riyadh. Program executive in charge of design and construction of the Albert V Bryan, US Courthouse, Alexandria, VA and the US Courthouse, Prince Georges County, MD. Wife, Ann Hutchison, BS Penn State '56. We have 3 children: John, Nancy and Mary; two grandsons and a granddaughter. Brother; Captain Philip Furst Carothers, Jr., USN BS Penn State '54.
